Baruth eventually got out of the fourth inning jam, but not before Jack Revier scored two for East on a shot up the middle to cut the West lead to 5 3. With runners on second and third, Baruth firmly finished the inning by striking out Lucas Wylie, securing the two run lead.

Baruth's only hiccup in the night game in the fifth when he gave up three runs on a pair singles, a walk and a hit batter. He opened the inning with two quick outs but suddenly found himself in a jam with the bases loaded and two outs after giving up one run.

The lefty, with a monster curveball and a effective changeup that couples nicely with his fastball, finished the night giving up five hits while striking out eight and walking four in seven innings.
