"Steve is the nicest guy," she said. "If anything, he probably just went into that house trying to make everything right."

CURRENTLY IN PROGRESS. ADAM SEXTON, WMUR NEWS 9. THANKS. WHILE MANY PEOPLE AROUND BRENTWOOD KNEW STEVE ARKELL AS A TRUSTED POLICE OFFICER, THERE WERE MANY WHO KNEW HIM BETTER AS A FRIEND AND DEVOTED DAD. TONIGHT HEATHER HAMEL SPOKE WITH TWO PEOPLE WHO WATCHED HIM CHEER FOR HIS DAUGHTERS ON THE LACROSSE FIELD. AND THEY SAY THAT BOND WAS UNBREAKABLE. THOSE WHO KNEW STEVE ARKELL FROM THAT CIRCLE KNEW LITTLE ABOUT HIS WORK AS A POLICE OFFICER. INSTEAD THEY KNEW A MAN THAT Reebok Question Low
Parents of lacrosse player said they want to pay tribute to Arkell. There is nothing official planned yet, but Larrivee said he will be remembered as a man who touched so many.
Arkell juggled a lot. Along with Granite State Elite, he was an assistant coach for Exeter High School, where both of his girls play.
"He was the kind of guy you wanted as Reebok Crossfit Shoes Blue a police officer," MacKay said. "There was no gray line with the way Steve lived his life there was a right and wrong, and he always chose right. He is going to be missed by everybody."
MacKay said he grew close to Arkell through lacrosse, but he also hired him to do some work on his house.
Arkell was a Brentwood police officer for 15 years.
WOULD DO ANYTHING FOR HIS DAUGHTERS, AND THEY NOW HOPE THE MEMORY OF HIS LOVE AND SUPPORT WILL HELP THEM GO ON. WE HARDLY KNEW WHAT HE DID BECAUSE HE WAS SO BUSY BEING PASSIONATE ABOUT WHAT HIS KIDS DID. NICKY REMEMBERS STEVE ARKELL AS A FRIEND AND MOST OF ALL A DEVOTED FATHER. AND I JUST HOPE SHE DOES. LARA BY'S DAUGHTER PLAYS LACROSSE WITH ARKELL'S OLDEST, THEY PLAYED FOR GRANITE STATE ELITE, GATHERING AT THE GOAL FOR INTENSE TRAINING AND TRAVELING TO OUT OF STATE TOURNAMENTS. SHE SAYS SHE SAW THE TERRIBLE SCENE ON TV MONDAY AND HER FRIENDS PICTURE AND SAYS IT'S STILL HARD TO COME PRETHEN. STEVE IS THE NICEST GUY, IF ANYTHING HE MUST HAVE WALKED INTO THAT HOUSE JUST TRYING TO MAKE EVERYTHING RIGHT. HE WAS PROBABLY THE MOST GENUINELY FRIENDLY PERSON YOU COULD MEET, THE FIRST TIME YOU MEET HIM HE COMES RIGHT UP AND SPRUCES HIMSELF AND IT'S LIKE YOU'VE BEEN FRIENDS FOREVER. HE ALSO HIRED HIM TO DO SOME WORK ON HIS HOUSE. ARKELL JUGGLED A LOT, HE WAS ALSO AN ASSISTANT COACH FOR EXETER HIGH SCHOOL LACROSSE WHERE BOTH HIS GIRLS PLAY. AND FOR 15 YEARS HE SERVED THE TOWN OF BRENTWOOD AS A PLAINTIFF. HE'S THE KIND OF GOOD YOU'D WANT TO BE A POLICE OFFICER, BECAUSE THERE'S NO, I DON'T THINK THERE'S ANY GRAY LYNN WITH THE WAY STEVE LIVED HIS PROFESSIONAL LIFE AT ALL THERE. WAS RIGHT AND WRONG AND HE ALWAYS CHOSE RIGHT. HE'S GOING TO BE MISSED BY EVERYBODY. FELLOW LACROSSE PARENTS WANT TO PAY TRIBUTE TO ARKELL, NOTHING OFFICIAL YET, BUT WHETHER IT'S TOURNAMENT POLICE HIS NAME OR SOMETHING MONETARY,

Larrivee's daughter plays lacrosse with Arkell's oldest daughter on the Granite State Elite. They gather at the Hampshire Dome for intense training and just about every weekend in the summer travel to out of state tournaments.
"Steve was definitely that man that gave everything to watch his daughter succeed, and he did it because she is going to (University of Vermont) and I just hope she does," Larrivee said.
"He was, generally, the most friendly person you could meet," said Dave MacKay, a friend. "The first time you meet him, he comes right up, and within five minutes you are carrying on like you have been friends with him forever."
Larrivee said she saw the story unfold on television Monday with the explosion and fire, and said it's still hard to comprehend her friend was involved.
