Dixon finished 16 of 27 for 179 yards and three touchdowns, while Oates caught four balls for 53 yards and two scores. Mike Tatum had nine catches for 97 yards and a score, while Tory Harrison ran for 59 yards. Knight was all over for the Storm, though he missed the last two series with an injury. He also had 2.5 of the team's whopping eight sacks. Eze Obiora also had 2.5, while James Dunlap had two and Cory Johnsen one. For Texas, Javicz Jones had 14 tackles.
"Our defense did a great job," said Riggs, who held out James Terry, Charlie Sanders, Judd Harrold and Patrick Wells due to minor injuries. "We put pressure on the quarterback, and our secondary really played well. They did a great job of tackling and making guys work to get open. We made a lot of mistakes on both sides of the ball, but we found a way to win against a team that was really hungry."
