Gilman and Austin used the money to build the Wild Horse brothel. Part of the original deal was that Gonzales would get 5 percent of the brothel's gross revenues. In 2004, that was re negotiated to one percent because Gonzales said, "I was just being a nice guy."
"She (Austin) came to me and she was just a mess," Gonzales said. "She said, 'we can't afford it." I said, 'Fine, reduce it to one percent.'"

The damages sought by Gonzales were reduced to less than the original $1.62 million sought since CPA Randell Thornton of Reno, found about $600,000 in payments made by Gilman in 2010 and 2011 while looking over financial documents for Gonzales.
Gonzales contends the many documents that are exhibits in the case including loan documents will prove his point to the jury.
Gonzales said he became a billionaire because of internet and computer technology even though he left school after the 9th grade. He said not all of his investments have been good ones.
Gonzales 40 year deal for monthly payments of one percent from the Wild Horse gave him about $4,000 to more than $5,000 a month, according to estimations.
Wray argued the point with witness Greg "Bum" Hess, a former county commissioner who also told the jury he is a friend of Gilman's.
